What are home visits?

ECFE on Wheels Home Visiting Program is designed to help children and families prepare for successful experiences in school through a variety of learning experiences. This is cost-free service provided to residents of District 728.

The objectives of the program are to develop, with the parent, an Individualized Family Plan based on the child's and family's strengths and needs, and to help families become more familiar with resources available in our community. Visits are provided by a licensed parent or family educator from the school district's Early Childhood Family Education program

ECFE on Wheels is a program that comes to you and is designed "just for you." It features visits to your home (or one to one visits at the ECFE center). Visits provide ideas for creative, fun, age appropriate activities, as well as time to discuss questions on kids and family. Information and ideas on child development, parenting and community resources are also available. Call the ECFE office at 763 241-3524 or indicate your interest in "ECFE on Wheels" on an ECFE registration form. There is no fee for home visits.
