 What are
home visits?
ECFE on Wheels Home
Visiting Program is designed to help children and families prepare
for successful experiences in school through a variety of learning
experiences. This is cost-free service provided to residents of
District 728.
The objectives of the program are to develop, with the parent, an
Individualized Family Plan based on the child's and family's
strengths and needs, and to help families become more familiar
with resources available in our community. Visits are provided by
a licensed parent or family educator from the school district's
Early Childhood Family Education program
ECFE on Wheels is a program
that comes to you and is designed "just for you." It features
visits to your home (or one to one visits at the ECFE center).
Visits provide ideas for creative, fun, age appropriate
activities, as well as time to discuss questions on kids and
family. Information and ideas on child development, parenting and
community resources are also available. Call the ECFE office at 763 241-3524 or indicate your interest in "ECFE on Wheels" on an ECFE registration form. There is no fee for home visits.
